cannot install office updates

I have problems in installing some office updates.
Can you please help?
I have successfully downloaded the updates, but somehow my tablet could not
install them.
Here are the details concerning the updates:
(1) KB945432 Microsoft Outlook 2003. When I tried to install it manually, a

Why does office 2007 pro crash when opening or saving

Hi, a few weeks ago, office downloaded updates and stopped being able to
browse, open, save as, etc. Anything that opens a dialogue box. I read a fix
to just create a new user and copy your files there. Something about
fileflicker? Anyway, yesterday the computer downloaded an outlook update and
now no office ...

I use Office 2003 at work. At home, I have Office 2007. I have all sorts of grief- but mostly with Excel.
Even when I use the Compatability mode, Excel 2007 manages to screw things up. Particularly charts. The View->Sized With Window option has vanished, and the X-axis can't seem to ...

Yes this is a weird query. However, anyone who contracts with the government
uses (at this moment) Office 2003. I have Office XP, but my components
(word, excel, etc), are 2002. Can I upgrade my Office XP 2002 to 2003? If
so, HOW? Without spending money...or not much.
