I've seen a couple threads where others have encountered this message during
Office 2007 installation. To recap the issue Setup starts from the
installation CD, Requests the product key, allows customization of the
install parameters and then works for a few minutes then stops with a dialog

Disable or remove the welcome screen

Hi all
Is it possible to disable/remove the welcome screen (the one where you have
to choose between online help and so on) shown in Office 2007 first time for
all new users through GPO or the registry

Just to clarify - and forgive the stupid question please, but I find the
website a bit ambiguous and would rather ask than make a mistake ;) -
Question: If I own and have installed MS Home and Student Office 2007, does
that qualify me to get the upgrade version of Publisher 2007 rather than the
full version ...

error msg 1311 - tried recommended fix - didn't work, now what?

rec'd "error message 1311. Source file not found: E:\filename.CAB. Verify
that this file exists and that you can access it.". Tried recommended fix

office 2007 proofing tools (x86)

I would assume that proofing tools would be independent of the
underlying architecture, so the question is; they put (x86) in the
file name on msdn, so this will not work or should not be installed
under x64 bit windows?
