I get "not enough memory" to change assistant in Office 2003.Why?

When I go to change my office assistant in the gallery, I get an error
message that 'not enough memory to complete this task' comes up. I have
Vista Premium on my computer. It's brand new, and other than running MS
Office 2003, there are no other programs running. Why is this happening and

Attaching email to a Calendar Appointment

I used to be able to attach an email to an appointment and the
"attached" icon would appear. Now when I do it, all I get is { embed
outlook.msgattach }., and it is not functional.
To troubleshoot I have:
deleted the normal.dotm and the email template, no help
created a new Outlook ...
