I am trying to install a COM-based smart document without an xml expansion
pack. The instructions on MSDN ("Deploying Smart Documents Without Using an
XML Expansion Pack") do not seem to work. Word displays the error - "The XML
expansion pack or the smart document program is missing or invalid...". I

getting a list of verb caption

I have converted the C# example to VS 2005 and compiled it.
Then registered the DLL but it's not working on Word 2003.
Is this a problem of Framework version? not working with 2.xxx?

we have sucessfully devloped an excel smart doc solution and deployed
