Hi,
I have a data.xml file with values that I got from a database as
following:
<person>
<firstname>John</firstname>
<lastname>Doe</lastname>
<age>34</age>
<casenumber>DJHS384</casenumber>

I then took a letter in word and added the xml tags where these data

Installing smart docs without expansion packs

Hi ,
has anyone installed smartdocs without xml expansion packs??.
i have done the following
1) Exported the registy settings from the devlopment computer to the
clients machine.
2) The SmartDocument was listed in the XmlExpansion packs list of the
clients machine.

i have devloped a excel smart document while accessing the smarttags
property the count is always 0 wherease in a word smart doc iam able to
retrive all the smart tags count
has anyone faced this issue we are thinking of raising the incidnet to
microsoft.

we need to manullay attach the manifest file so that user can use
smartdoc.
in my case i have created a smardoc succesfully deployed it both to an
webserver and networkshare.
