modem not functioning

my friend has a computer but he can not connect to the internet the modem
shows a yellow circle with a black quotation mark inside it. i tried to run
the rtrouble shooter through windows xp but it keeps asking for a password
and i don't have it the computer was given to him and the person has never
set it up ...

A friend of mine with Vista installed Limewrire (a file sharing program) on
his computer and we use a program called WST_FTP to send and recieve files to
my web site.
Now the FTP will not allow him to recieve any files from my web site.
I kind of think it was something that LIMEWIRE changed but not sure so we ...

I can not view the graphs

Hi All,
I have just installed Windows vista and I noticed that under Internet
Explorer7 I can not view some graphs while browzing in many sites.
For example, All the graphs in the stock exchange web sites are hidden.
Any clue or feedback about the root cause is most welcome.

I use a webquery on /moneycentral.msn.com for updating stock quotes in an
excel file. It worked fine for more than one year. Now there are several
problems with stock quotes that qren't updated ... is there something changed
lately ?... ...
