Can't Check Out Files

Students are set up as Administrators of Default Web Sites. When they try to
check out files after enabling source control, they get a lock icon instead
of a red check mark on the file.
We are using FrontPage 2002 SP3, FPSE 2002, IIS 5.1, SharePoint (Team

Publishing questions

I have a W2K server that has ran witout any problems for several
years. I am now being plageued by a problem when I try to publish
with FP 2003. It seems as if It can't handle any files essentially
that are over 1mb in size.... It doesn't make any sense as that
nothing has
changed on this server for over ...

Extensions being phased out and removed from servers this year (20

1and1 Hosting has removed all extensions on their linux servers as of last
February.
They are removing them from their windows servers this year but don't know
the date.
I am using extensions for many websites where I have shared borders and
Category links using Webbots to display htm pages from workgroup ...

2002 Web Component Problem

I have loaded the FPage server extensions on my PC, because I want to be able
to preview my pages with web components such as hover buttons.
I have stored the web at http://localhost/ but each time I try and preview
the page, I get an error telling me the content is blocked because of the
"unknown publisher ...
