Issue with pushing Safe sender list through GPO

I am wondering if anyone else has experienced this.
We are trying to deploy a safe senders list to our outlook 2007 clients
through Group Policy.

Everything works initially. I apply the GPO and confirm that the list is

Outlook Connector Beta cannot retrieve mail prior to <install date

Server Status says 470.6MB of 5GB, but there is no option to retrieve
messages older than 12 Oct 2008 with Outlook Connector Version 12.0.6407.1000
Apart from not being able to retrieve messages older than 12 Oct, everything
else seems to be working fine.

Outlook Password wont save .. for send, or receive.

It wont stay when placed into the account set-up. It asks to enter everytime
send-receive is pressed. When I went back into accoutn setup, it was gone.
It asks me over, and over, every time, even though I checked save password
(or remember) in setup, and everytime it asks me in the send-recieve pop-up.
