attachment opening

I'm new to outlook 2007 which is not opening attachments in the same way as
did 2003. On double clicking the attachment - it opens sure enough - into the
task bar. I'd really like it to minimise outlook and open the attachment into
the screen in it's appropriate programme.
I've looked through as many settings ...

Well, Blocked Senders is a fairly ineffective way to stop junk mail
because spammers change the spoofed addresses they're using on a
minute-by-minute basis but...

Somehow, and I don't know when or how, my notes disappeared from Outlook. I
do use ActiveSync (windows 6.1) and it states that desktop over writes cell
phone. All I have left are my notes that are 3 to 5 years old. Any idea what
I can do.

if you right click on the folder can you close it? if not, see if the methods at http://www.outlook-tips.net/howto/ghosts.htm get rid of it.

rules don't always work well on the body of html messages. they scan the raw code and its either broken up by html tags (common on spam) or the message is base 64 or uuencoded.

This usually happens when you install a different browser and the default browser is changed. You need to reset the web settings in IE's tools, ...
