Outlook Express requires me to save all attachements before open

When I try to open an attachment in Outlook Express, it requires me to save
the document before I can open it. Is there an option that will allow me

I have Outlook open and minimised in the systray all the time. I also have
the 'display notification when new mail arrives' unchecked as I find it
irritating.
What I like is having the tiny envelope icon in the systray when new mail

I have Office 2003/Outlook. When I am on my home network ( wireless or LAN) I
can send and receive emails but when I am in a hotel etc. I receive an error

Mail" and get another menu. That menu has various option, but why on earth is
