Change existing phone numbers from xxx-xxx-xxxx to (xxx) xxx-xxxx format?

Hello. I'm a former long time Palm user who recently switched to Windows
Mobile and Outlook. All of my contact phone numbers were in the xxx-xxx-xxxx
format, and they stayed that way when I imported into Outlook, and now
through Pocket Outlook.
All the new numbers I enter are in the (xxx) xxx-xxxx format.

How do I change my outlook phonebook to read from a specific contacts list
and can I delete the contacts list with nothing in it? Currently the
phonebook shows no contacts and asks me to change to the other contacts list.
This is very timeconsuming when I am sending to a few contacts. ...

How can I combine two different Ourlook contact lists?

Somehow I have two slightly different Outlook Contact Lists. How can I
combine them without actually re-entering the different contacts from one
list to the other and then deleting the second list?

Active Synch - contacts not synching

I have a new Tilt, run OL 2003 and installed Active Snych. My calendar
transfered fine, but not any my contacts. I did have one error message, that
either outlook is not my default (I checked, it is) or is something along the
line of not answering (I can't recall the exact wording.) Can anyone help? ...
