Setting password by code

I have a database distributed to many clients that access my
database by an ODBC connection. But the database file don't have a
password set.
I would like to set a password to my mdb file by code. Is there any
way to do this without need the action of the user?

Opening database Exclusively

I have secured the Access database 2003 with the wizard and everything works
correctly. I need to make changes sometimes and this database is setup with
multiple users. I have given myself full permision but I can't open the

Security on one field in a form

I have a DB with 9 users. 8 of them enter data on a form. I need to have
the ninth be an approver and check a Yes/No field to give approval, but do
not want anyone else to be able to edit this field. Any help in doing this
will be greatly appreciated.
