Since switching to Microsoft XP multiple users can no longer access the same
file. Everyone can get in and run queries, however, if you try to create a

Relying on basic Excel functions in Access

I have a split database (FE on users' systems, BE on server) that
occasionally, for no reason I can discern, gives a user the old "You do not
have exclusive access..." message upon opening the database. I'm not using
Access security, so I know the problem isn't related to a workgroup file.

Hi,
I tested Tony's Auto FE Updater and it worked just fine (thanks Tony). The
Auto FE Updater and the latest version for the FE are located in a shared
drive.
