I'm working for an international company and I've made a database in
microsoft Access, it's a prospectsystem. On the switchboard you can click on
a function where you can look for prospects in the database and you can click
on a link to add a new prospect.

File-server optimization

We've been using a split-database setup on a Lan with one of the users'
computer acting as the file-server (the BE is stored on their machine).
We're moving to a new location and I'm wondering if there's any value in
having a separate computer not used by any user and dedicated solely as the
file-server.

I have a Microsoft Access front end connected to a Microsoft Access backend.
The back end is on a network share. I would like to be able to limit the
number of users that can connect to the back end to a certain number. How
can I limit the number of users to my backend database?

I have two tables in a database that suddenly appear blank (white
screen) when I attempt to open them. I am able to export the data to
another table, however, when I rename the old table and paste the new

I have a mdb that needs to be used by multiple users. I am aware of
the Tools -> Security option to create multiple users. However, do i
need to create a table in the mdb too that keeps track of the user ids
& passwords? How about changing passwords? Where and how is it done? ...
