Access Screen Display Problem

I am running Access 2K on an XP Pro machine. The background color for the
switchboard startup screen and all forms/screens are white, not their
regular colors. There are many versions of this applications running on at
least 50 machines and we have never seen this problem. Further all reports

Your response below was very helpful. I had to reinstall Windows XP on my pc
initially and lost my sound, Microsoft office, and apparently my DVD
capabilites on my D drive. (now I know why I couldnt get the install DVD to
work to load). Do you know how I can get the DVD D drive and sounds back?

Thanks everyone for your help with my first novice question. I have another
