Access 2003 can't import delimited files

I'm using Access 2003 on Win XP SP2.
Trying to import an Excel CSV file using "get external data", but
neither csv or ANY delimited formats are offered as an option in the
Import dialogue box.
I tried using the "Text" option but it did not regognize my columns as
fields.
Any ideas about how I can fix thi ...

For a previous project I tried SQL Server with an Access 2003 front end. The
low record table limits in Access 2003 froced me to steer away from it as my
project grew. I tried using MYSQL, but it lacked the stability I needed. I
will have 10-15 million records in any one table in this new project.

I need an inputmask for the input of e-mail adresses , just to make sure the
people who input the data do it in the right "e-mail adress format" f.e.
yes@yes.com ,if the e-mail adresses are valid is point 2 and not important
at this stage for me!

Hi
I have used a small module by Brendan Reynolds (thanks for this Brendan) to
convert some numbers to currency.
There are 1.35 million numbers so need to get it right - am working on a
copy of the DB, just in case.
People book a ski holiday and some of the costs they pay need to be
increased by 4.86% ...
