Converting letters to numbers

I am a teacher looking for an easy way to convert letters to numbers. My
students get their grades A - F. To calculate their average grade, I need to
convert the letters to numbers, calculate the average and then back to
letters. Typically the list would look something like this:

File Links - Drive Mapping

Hi,
whenever my client opens a spreadsheet (Office XP) with linked files, it
creates a network drive mapping (z:) even though the links point to the h:
What is causing this or where else can I look to stop it mapping the z: drive.

Excel files suddenly need a password to open

week. We have between 4 6 staff (depending on seasonal fluctuations) and
each member of staff has two days off per week.
I have searched the Microsoft database of templates and found nothing that

Can anyone tell me how to put more than 9 if statements into a single
formula ? I can get 9 om a row but not 9
for instance if i want to detect the numbers of days in a mont on a large
spreadsheet I may enter
