(overly optimistic) any way around max #udf in function wizard?

Both in 2000 and 2003, (don't have 2k7, boo) the maximum # of UDFs
that the function wizard is capable of displaying seems to be 8178.
If you have more UDFs defined, they don't get displayed, despite
working fine elsewhere.

For detail:
