Loan Amortization Schedule Formula

Does anyone know how I can set up a loan amortization for $15,000 at 5% for
10 years with monthly payments? I have tried a couple different things and
keep getting NAME? in columns for to interest and to principal. I have a
template but I would really like to know how to do the formula for this.

How do I save the results of a cell so that when I restart the work sheet
will automatically reload that data value into a cell for reuse? I using

Count number of times a text occurs

I want to count the number of times a text occurs in a range and then put
1,2,3,ect in a cell adjacent to the occurance.
Apple 1

Apple 3
Apple 4
Banana 1

Banana 3
I can use the count function but it doesn't seem to help with the numbering.

Embarrased to ask something so simple, but am in my 70's now, and haven't
used Excel in quite a whle.
Have a long column "A" of numbers.
Would like to create an adjacent column, B, with each number in the first
column A being divided by, e.g., 10.
(and showing up in this adjacent B column)

control panel shows the default date as 10/11/08 but when I enter in "10/11"
it is changed to "11-Oct" ...

New computer and office 2007

activate it on the new one and deactivate it on the old one. Has anyone done
