I've never noticed this before but when i create a hyperlink in an excel
spreadsheet and insert a link to a powerpoint document on my network, when i
click on the link it brings up the powerpoint document in a slideshow even
though the document is just a normal .ppt and not a .pps.

Linked workbook data suddenly not found

Using Excel 97, Win 98/2000/XP. We have a number of linked workbooks that
reside on a win 2K server. To the best of my knowledge, they seemed to work
fine until Monday. Now suddenly, everytime one of the calling workbooks is

I ahve a spreadsheet, when I open it in Excel 2000 and click do not update
the sheet is fine. But when I do the same thing in Excell 2003 all the
figures are replaced with #Value. Is there a setting I need to change so
that the sheet will open in 2003 just as it does in 2000.
