I have 3 cells in Excel. Cell one has a number say 15, Cell two has a formula

I have been using the find (ctrl-f) to search for question marks and tildes
in my spreadsheets for years. In the last week neither of these finds have
been working in excel 2007. a find for a ? results in every occupied cell

Can't use my spreadsheet

I opened a spreadsheet earlier and then closed it. When I try to open it
again, an error pops up stating the file is in use by me. No one else in the
dept. can open it either. I tried copying it and then deleting, but the
original will not delete because it is in use. I can't rename it either.
