Spreadsheet calculations with offsets

Hello,
I am currently new to working with MS excel sr-1 and need some help on
create a spread sheet that can calculate various offset distances based on a
length of a line and the beginning and end distance.
Can someone explain to me how this is done.

Return string between two spaces

I have a string like this in a cell: AAAA T52650 BBBB.
Need a function to return T52650.
AAAA, T52650 and BBBB can be of variable length, but there will always be a
space between the three.

Averaging only some rows

I can't fill series, or use the formula =a2+1...

Conditional formatting - highlight an entire row

Is there a way to use conditional formatting so that if the contents
of a single cell changes, then the entire row in that table will
change a color.
I know it can be applied to the cell, but can it be applied to the
entire row?

Extend formulae

In S2 I have =IF(R2="","",R2*0.034+0.2) extended down to S9.
In T2 I have =IF(R2="","",R2-S2) extended down to T9.
In U2 I have =T2.
In U3 I have =IF(R2="","",U2+T3) extended down to U9. In other words a
running total.
When I enter an amount (£) in R10, cells S10 and T10 automatically update
but no ...

I have Acrobat Professional 8
1.Select first Spread sheet
2. Select a defined range (same for all) ..say A1 to G20

A couple of times now I have placed an excel 2003 file on a site for
download (winzipped), and when the file has been downloaded and extracted
and changes having been made, the user has been unable to save changes
because it has become read only.
Why would this happen (it was not read only prior to up ...

synchronize two pivot table

I have two pivot table on a worksheet,I want to
synchronize the page between them both.I mean,
if user select page A in the first pivot table,auto
matically the page selected on the second pivot
table is A too.Is it possible?
