How to list and count unique records

I am trying to tabulate errors from an automated checking tool.
The errors are listed by line. There can be hundreds of results but
mostly there are less than a dozen errors found repeatedly. I would
like to list the unique errors that occur, and list a count for how
many occurrences there are for each of those ...

Can't email direct from Excel spreadsheet as attachment.

I've recently had to re-install my OS and all the programmes. I find I can
no longer click on the 'send the spreadsheet as an attachment' button. Has
anyone any ideas plse? I am running Windows Vista Home Premium and Office XP
and have set the default email handler to Windows Mail.

Before I spend hours trying to do this can I get the toolbars etc at the top
of the page looking anything like the old excel, there appears to be so much
there that I dont use and the stuff I normall use I am spending ages trying
to find it. It also takes up a lot of screen.
I accept I am just new to this ...

changing columns into rows

I'm a novice using Excel 2007 in W 7.
I have an existing database where I would like to change things so that
the rows become columns and vice versa. Is there a way to automatically
do that or do I need to recreate the spreadsheet from scratch?

Name Cell, Copy Named Cell, And Add All Named Cells

Got a speadsheet with one column only. Around 9,000 or so lines. After
any additions I make, I always re-sort it aplhabetically. Never had
problems before, but today it's freaking me out! It's a list of band
names and includes:-
