Can Word be told to replace specific misspellings with a certain word?

I badly mistype some words when rushing that I know how to spell, but
the spell checker suggestions do not always come up with the word I
mean. Can Word be told to replace specific common misspellings with a
certain word?

How to stop grammer checking for capitalization in lists

I have turned off the option in the preferences
also when I select the ignore all button in the grammer check it still marks
them

I think it would be great if MS can implement a feedback features similar to
the "Customer Expereience Improvement Program" and collect typestrokes that
cause typos. This is then be used to improve the spelling check by looking
at the incorrect keystrokes that appear to be most likely typing the correct

My daughter has produced a document that spell checker is not working on. It

How can I get the spell checker to work for an entire document ?
The first part has no markings (of incorrect spelling or grammar),
but the second part has. Copy-paste of the first part into the second
(also as unformatted text) won't do the job.
Tools->Spelling and Grammar starts at the second part.
