How to insert Absolute hyperlink in Word 2000 to a Network Drive?

In teh old WORD 97, if you browsewd for a file to hyperlink eg on a network
drive, there was a checkbox to check/uncheck if you wanted the hyperlink to
be relative or absolute. This has gone in Word 2000 and all such hyperlinks
are inserted as relative.
How do I make them absolute without having to type in ...

Routing Documents with a Link, not attachement

Hello!
I want a link to my word document in the email that routes my word document
for review.
The help files discuss the routed document as being an attatchement or a
link, but I don't want the attatchment and do not get the link when I route
a document for review....
We use Office 2002 on Windows ...

We would like to centralise our Word templates, our office is running Word
2003.
Central Templates that are updated by logon scripts for:
Macros and Macro Tool Bar
Default font + font size
Another template would be setup for the user and would not be updated by the
