Page Sizes Display As "?????"

The page size dialog box in MS Word 2000 does not display all the
proper page sizes. A4 is listed as "A4" but "Letter" appears as
"?????". The dimensions of letter size are appropriately displayed. It
appears that some font used to display page sizes in MS Word is
missing. Can anyone identify the problem? Than ...

Maybe someone knows how to deal with this problem? I had several
documents created about a year ago. Now after reinstalling XP I can not read
the
documents, they contain funny characters. When I try to open one of them
with Word it tries to install a converter but after installing it is still

Word2k: default paper source problem... and hanging...

Win2kPro: Word2k. Canon IP3000 printer (with cassette)
Out of the blue my Word2k has started giving me printing problems that
NONE of my other applications are having.
It is hanging for 10-12 seconds when I ask it to print and insists on
looking for the auto sheet feeder even though I have set EVERYwh ...

In print preview, the font shows up as it appears on the screen "Times New
Roman 12 point" but when we print it it shows up compressed. This is a word
only problem that we have to fix each time on a document by document case, by
going to the Format Gallery and then Highlighting the text and then clicking
