Too many versions and styles

A 121-page document came across my desk today having 48 versions and a list
of styles almost as long as my forearm from having gone back and forth from
office to office.
The document had numbered headings, but in this version they had just "up

Legal Pleading Line Numbers Not Showing Up

After downloading the 28 line legal pleading from Microsoft's website, it
opens in Word 2003 just fine, but the 1-28 do not show up down the left
margin.
Is there a setting I need mod in order to show the line numbers?

I'm testing out the spell checker on Word 2007 and I can't get the spell
checker to properly check comma errors. For example, the spell checker
doesn't notice any errors in the following sentence:
"There, is, a, comma, after, every, word."
If I type in that sentence I get no squiggly red line below it and ...

Importing a letterhead feom Adobe Illustrater

I created a letterhead in AI, and would like to import it to word to use as a
letterhead. I once did this and imported it as a jpeg, the problem is that
when I would fax the document, the background of the letterhead would come
out with a visible grayish back.
