Cannot change latin font in heading style when there are Chinese characters in Word 2003

The problem is as follows:
I want change the English font in style heading 1, but it quite often
fails. For example, if you set Chinese font Simsun, You cannot Change
Latin font to "Times New Roman".
Sometimes you do change the font, but when you change style by "update
to match", you lost your setti ...

convert english dates into spanish dates

I have some English mailmerge documents that I am having written into
spanish. In my english verions I have a field that automatically puts todays
date in ( TIME \@ "MM/DD/YYYY" ) but's it has English months.
Anyone know of a way I can have say January become de enero.
