Inserting fields inside Word shapes?

Inserting special characters inside a Word shape?

In Word 2007, I'm trying to insert a nonbreaking space inside a
graphic shape. Unfortunately, "Insert Tab > Symbol > More Symbols..."
dialog doesn't offer a Special Characters section when the cursor is
inside a shape. Are there any workarounds?

My document shows in Print Preview but prints blank on printer

floating pictures

I have written a chapter on Office Word '07 importing pictures of circles
with angles in them. The problem is everytime I reopen the word file, the
pictures float across the pages- and it takes forever to reposition them! How
can I lock them into place????
