Some Word Documents open quicker than others

Why is it that some .doc files open instantaneously and others take several
seconds. I cannot see anything different or more complicated about the ones
that take longer. In fact, one document spans several pages and opened
instantly. Another is only about 15 lines of one page and it took about 5
seconds.

I followed all the instructions offered, and it really did work.
The tools you need can be found by clicking of the Office logo and going to
Options on the bottom right.
