Sidbar with recently opened files

I just upgraded from Word 2003 to 2007. When I open Word, I do not see the
sidebar showing recently opened files that was available in Word 2003. How
can I turn this lfeature on?

Word will not retain custom / default settings

Win XP Home. MS Office 2003
Normally MS Word would always display the same view as when I left it.
However just recently, it has decided to display settings which I did not
select.
These are, the Vertical and Horizontal Rulers, no Text Boundaries,
and 150% Zoom instead of my "standard" 95%.

Change default styles word 2007

Just installed MS Word & updated to SP2. I have not done much to change
anything in set up or how it looks as of right now.
On the ribbon > "Home" Tab > "Styles"
The default "Styles" is "¶ Normal" every time I start MS Word 07. I want
the one right next to it "¶ No Spacing" to be the default "Styles". I ...

Adobe Acrobat menubar add-ins missing in second template

I have professional version of Acrobat which I wish to see the Menubar
buttons for Adobe PDF and Acrobat Comments.
These two menus appear in my Normal.dot but not in my External.dot template.

RibbonX - two row deep buttons, not three

I am trying to recreate the look of the Paragraph group on the Home tab of
the Word 2007 ribbon to remove some of the commands but retain most of the
others.
My problem is I cannot get the two rows of commands to space vertically like

I had seen in a magazine something about visual studio for office. I don't
recall if it was an add on for office or just visual studio self. In the
article they mentioned a ribbon designer. From what i gathered you can

customising an icon on the toolbar

Hi,
When I assign a macro to a toolbar in word 2007 it lets me choose an icon
but not to put the text of the icon's name. Also I cannot put any pther icon
besides the one in the list. Is ther a way to import icons?
