File conversion widow every time I open this doc?!?!?!

I had Office 2007 for a while, then reverted to 2003. I have several
documents that I created in 2007 in compatibility mode. For a few of these,
every time I open the document I get a message that says "File Conversion:
select the encoding that makes your document readable." It has a few
options and a preview ...

Word 2007 can't open my Word 5.1 files

I've got some old word 5.1 files that Word 2007's converter doesn't seem to
recognise. In fact they don't even show up when I select the WP5.1
converter. Has anyone got a work around for opening these? I'm running
Vista, so I don't want to go to the trouble of reinstalling wp 5.1 if I
don't have to.

using a template to open a text file

Is there a way to open a text file and have it pick up the default fonts and
page settings? It always opens in word in courier font, whereas my default
font is times new roman.
Or would there be a way to run word from a command line, passing in the
template I want to use and the file I want to open.

Batch convert Works using Word 2007

I've asked experts and looked all over the web. I want to convert a
batch of Works wps files to Word 97-2003 files. I repaired a computer that
had been using Works and they lost the CD to install Works and now have a
program that will read Word but not Works.
I can do it one at a time but not 100 at ...

I'm facing a problem while converting a html page into the word document.
In the html page, i have text wrapped around the image using DIV and STYLE
tags.
I'm inserting the html into the WORD2000 using Insert->File menu of WORD.
I have to somehow manage to show the text and image wrapped properly in WORD ...
