Mike, If she is using Word 2007, then it would be best to tell her to use the SaveAs option and give the file versions. We have had a few problems with Word 2007 loosing data. Not sure as of yet if it's due to Word itself or our network. Also keep in mind that we have as well ran into some problems with th ...

What if I want to, in effect, overstrike a character? In TTY code, I believe that a 0x08 is a backspace. How can I overstrike a character ...

My client asked me to save my 400-page Word document as an XML file. My numerous links to JPGs broke when I saved the file and I had to reinsert all the graphics. This is my first experience with saving Word files in XML format. Is there an easy solution to this problem? ...

I am working on a custom application that generates reports that include hundreds of scanned line drawings. For compact file size, the line drawings are formatted as TIFF files. Ideally the report should be viewable and printable by the recipients without using a special reader. HTML seems like a good ch ...

Hi, I made a Word 2007 document with data defined in a customXML part and linked inside the document with content controls. Open Word for Windows 2.0 equations in 2007?     Thu, 01 Mar 2007 16:48:53 -0500
I have some old technical articles that I wrote in Word for Windows 2.0. I now use Word 2007. 2007 opens these old files just fine, but it doesn't seem to recognize the equations that are embedded. It just draws a box on the screen where the equation was. Is there some way to get these equations back? B ...
