Word 2007 cannot save password protected file

If I create a Word .docx file that is password protected (i.e., encrypted), I
cannot save it more than once.
I am running the released version of Windows 7, 64-bit; Office Word 2007 SP2.
Steps to reproduce:
1. Start with a new, blank document and type something in it.

I don't totally understand your reply, but my problem is that I think I have a bug or something with Word.
After I follow the procedures I described in my original post, normally (I have been able to do so before) I could modify the "formats" in the table of contents windows.

Upgraded to Windows 7 using clean install.
Extensive bibliography stored using Word 2007.
Had to transfer Sources.xml file into
< %appdata%\Roaming\Microsoft\Bibliography >
from backup taken under Windows XP Pro.
Now find that trying to use an existing reference ("insert citation")

I'm flabbergasted after spending over 30 minutes trying to trouble shoot a
table of contents, so I deleted it and tried to create a new table of
contents formatted like the one I had before (font properties wise).
So I select the table of contents tab on the ribbon (Word 2007), then I

Docs auto copy when deleted

Have Office 2007. Recently docs in word auto copy when deleted. I now have
100's of copies of docs I want deleted. I cannot recall doing anything to

error: AppHangB1. I have uninstalled the program and reinstalled, done
